Private Dog Training
A one hour lesson rate is $120. Your first lesson is actually 1.5 hours long and subsequent lessons are one hour because I really want to make sure you get the help you need and are feeling confident about the training.
Los Angeles is filled with certified dog trainers - not all trainers are the same, and Adelita Alvarez has the experience and knowledge to help you.
Since 2003, she has professionally assisted dog owners with issues like puppy behavior, adolescence, rescue dog adjustments, basic obedience, and separation anxiety. She can get done what a lot of newly claimed dog trainers will take a week to get done. This is hands on training - not a bunch of talk with no actual training like a lot of dilettantes who have just gotten into the industry and have no or little experience.
Adelita will provide clear, straightforward, and sometimes custom solutions for your dog’s specific needs. It's also important to focus on your needs to strengthen your relationship with your pet.

Group Obedience Classes
A standard six week Obedience Class rate is $351.
However, right now you can sign up for a 3 month, Unlimited Group Obedience Class for puppies and separate for dogs for only $399 and if you sign up before the end of the year you will also receive 3 Private Lessons with this package! No other Dog Trainer in Burbank or Los Angeles is going to give you this kind of training and services for such a low price. The addition of 3 private lessons goes away in 2026 so sign up now!
Start your puppy or rescue off right with 30-minute classes on Saturdays and Sundays in Burbank, Glendale, and Toluca Lake.
Puppies and dog of all ages are welcome. Puppies are put in their own section to work on basics.
Our unique program lets you train more than once a week with a professional trainer, allowing for better practice, correction, and progress compared to longer classes. Since dogs have short attention spans, shorter sessions keep both pups and owners engaged. We limit our classes to 12 dogs to ensure everyone gets attention and enjoys a fun atmosphere.
In our Final Lesson, we practice training and celebrate with a potluck, games, prizes, and certificates, plus everyone receives a gift bag. Some choose to repeat this basic program for continued structure in their dog's life, which costs only $99. But, the offer above for Unlimited Classes with the 3 private lessons stands until January 1st when these deals go away.

(3) One hour Private Lessons
If you need extra dog training to address issues like separation anxiety or other behaviors, consider three private lessons to create structure. Our goal is to fix the problems and encourage the behaviors you want. This takes time so investing in three private dog training lessons is a very workable program. Meet once or twice week and see how things are within a 2 or 3 weeks.
You and your dog need that personal care to address the obedience, behavioral or both types of dog training. And, the kind of dog training I provide is not just to train the dog but the owners as well.

You can book the first lesson on the website here and we will book the next two appointments over the phone to ensure the best approach to training your dog. The specific needs will be determined on the first lesson.
Depending on your location near Burbank, the Good Dog Trainer may recommend four 45-minute lessons. We’ll start with an assessment to see if this is right for you and your dog.
Training can be held at a local park in Burbank as an option.
This is decided on a case-by-case basis.

Start Training Early - Prior to Classes
The time to train is NOW.
Training a 12-week-old puppy—no matter the breed—is significantly easier than training a 5- or 6-month-old dog. At that younger age, puppies are smaller, more impressionable, and haven’t yet developed problem behaviors like jumping, ignoring recall, or pulling on the leash.
Your puppy will go through two critical Fear Stages:
8–11 weeks
6–14 months
Each lasts about 3 weeks, and they are key moments where positive training experiences build lifelong confidence. Don’t wait—get the expert guidance you and your puppy need right away.
