How do I help to build a strong immune system?

Happiness means good health for you and your dog. Making sure that your dog visits the Vet regularly will maintain a happy dog.  If a dog gets sick it can be handled with the right medicine.

Immunization means that you are building an immune system for the longevity of your puppy or dog.

When a puppy is born take it to your Vet to schedule getting its shots which prevent these diseases.  It is very important to keep your puppy in a clean environment for the first 12 weeks to prevent any infections, worms or diseases from entering the puppy.

Any professional breeder will tell you the importances of cleanliness.

Here are some simple guidelines for handling your pup:

Wash your hands before and after holding your puppy.
Select only a few people who will handle the dog until it is fully immunized.
Keep its quarters clean at all times.
Make sure any cleaners used for clean-up are fully washed and dried before allowing your puppy to go there.
Do not take your puppy to public places.
Allow your puppy to go to the bathroom on a selected piece of lawn (if you are potty training it for outdoors) that is as clean as possible.  *Though this is still a risk because you do not know what animal may have left diseases, parasites, etc. behind.
