Is it okay to let my dog sleep on the bed?

Your dog or puppy may be the cutest thing in the whole world but maybe you didn’t realize some of the things that could go wrong with letting your dog sleep with you on your bed.

First of all, worms or parasites can be transferred from any part of the dog onto your sheets, pillow, etc. and it is possible that you could get these ingested just by putting your mouth to them.  Having a dog lick your face also puts you into this position.

Other things such as dirt, bacteria, and other diseases can be transferred from the dog to you if you allow it to sleep with you.

Provide your dog with a dog mat or bed for itself.  You can also have a plastic crate of some kind for it to sleep in as disgussed above.  This contains the possibility of contracting these things.
